Everyone grab your popcorn, because it's time to reveal the Pantone Color of the Year! The 2023 Pantone Color of the Year is a color that is already trending in the fashion and beauty industry, and now it's expected to make its grand entrance onto the events scene, just in time for wedding season!

Similar to last year, the 2023 Color of the Year is inspired by nature. Veri Peri, last year's winner, embraced landscapes–this cool color pursued curiosity that animated our creative spirit. This year, Pantone is again pulling inspiration from nature. The new shade descends from the red family and expresses a new signal of strength.

In this post, you will learn more about the Pantone Color of the Year 2023 and how you can incorporate it in your upcoming wedding or event.

Pantone's Color of the Year 2023: Viva Magenta 18-1750

Welcome to the Magentaverse

Leatrice Eiseman, the Executive Director for Pantone Color Institute, explains this shade as "vim and vigor"–it is brave and fearless, and a pulsating color whose exuberance promotes a joyous and optimistic celebration, writing a new narrative. This year’s Color of the Year is powerful and empowering.

Viva Magenta encourages experimentation and self-expression without restraint, an electrifying and boundless shade that manifests as a stand-out statement. This color welcomes anyone and everyone with the same verve for life and rebellious spirit. It is inclusive of all.
